Parkinson’s Ireland had a very busy and exciting year. We wanted to take the opportunity…
Frank Mullen: Paddle 4 Parkinson’s
Parkinson’s Ireland were delighted to welcome Frank Mullen, his friends, family and Payzone colleagues to Carmichael House today to thank him for his phenomenal #Paddle4Parkinsons fundraiser.
Frank raised €35,582 for Parkinson’s Ireland and we are incredibly grateful to him for completing this adventure to raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease and Parkinson’s Ireland.
61-year-old project manager Frank Mullen completed his epic 300KM journey down the Shannon River on July 7th to raise funds and awareness for Parkinson’s Ireland.
Frank committed himself to an intensive training regimen in preparation, refining his strength, endurance, and paddling technique.
Diagnosed with Parkinson’s just last year, Frank refuses to let the condition define him. Instead, he sees it as
an opportunity to embrace life fully and inspire others to do the same.
Frank said: “The one gift Parkinson’s has given me is the excuse to live for today. Receiving a diagnosis like this is tough, but there is absolutely no reason why I can’t have a full and long life, with the right medication and the right fitness regime.”
Reaching the finish line
Parkinson’s Ireland were delighted to be invited down to support Frank as he reached the finish line, along with many of his family and friends.
Frank has raised over €32,000 to date and we are incredibly grateful to him for completing this adventure to raise awareness for Parkinson’s Disease and Parkinson’s Ireland.
Frank’s fundraiser will remain open until the end of the month, which we encourage you to support if you can.
